I'll wait until I'm less busy, then give the books a try.Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoardhttp://bookwyrms-hoard.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7611036570698926101.post-84679597567321109102013-09-10T20:23:11.616-05:002013-09-10T20:23:11.616-05:00Your daughter probably knows your reading preferen...Your daughter probably knows your reading preferences better than I do, but I've loved the intricacies of George R R Martin's story. There are quite a lot of characters who die throughout the books that I've read. None of the characters are safe. And there are also plenty of characters that you love to hate. They're slower reads for me aside from the length--the pacing is slow most of the time. But George R R Martin always surprises me which is something that I love.Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Knowhttp://sandyfarmer.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7611036570698926101.post-19391665003103338752013-09-10T11:53:23.273-05:002013-09-10T11:53:23.273-05:00My daughter read Game of Thrones, and wasn't t...My daughter read Game of Thrones, and wasn't thrilled with it -- too much jumping around from character to character for her taste, not to mention lots of people either behaving badly or too stupid to live (by her account!) so I haven't felt inspired to start them yet.Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoardhttp://bookwyrms-hoard.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7611036570698926101.post-57914223045517607112013-09-09T17:26:02.913-05:002013-09-09T17:26:02.913-05:00Haha...yeah, it was a fun one. Oh yes, I've been slowly reading through book 4 of the A Song of Ice and Fire series for SEVERAL months now. Book 5 is going to have to wait for quite a while. And I'm excited about my review for The False Prince, but I probably won't be publishing that one on the blog until November. "Most Likely to Keep Putting Off" made me laugh; I've been avoiding Martin's books myself. And I can't wait to read your review of The False Prince.Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoardhttp://bookwyrms-hoard.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
