The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Monday we had a spontaneous short school day so that we could take a field trip to the movie theater. We'd finished reading The Wild Robot on Sunday night, and we wanted to see it in the theater. That was fun. It was Little Boy's first time to the theater. Tuesday, we normally spend part of the day with my parents, but they were out of town. So we had a lazy morning. We did grocery pickup. And then we did a little school. Both Big Kids had ball games Tuesday night. Husband and Little Boy went to Big Girl's game. She got a triple that went to the fence. So proud of her. They won 10-3. Big Boy's team won his game too 18-4. Wednesday was a normal day, not much to report. Thursday, we had co-op, but I woke up with no voice. And then both big kids had their last games of the fall ball season. Little Girl's team won, but Little Boy's team lost. I think they both improved over the season, but I don't expect us to play fall ball next year. Friday was a normal, but rough day. Little Girl was extra emotional. If she wasn't 8 at the time, I would have thought she was a teenager dealing with crazy hormones. Big Boy was struggling to focus on his necessary school work. Husband has been working every spare minute to finish renovating his friend's house after their renters wrecked it. Thankfully that project is nearing completion. I think everyone is about ready for that to be done. They had a clean up day over there. Today is Big Girl's 9th birthday! I can't believe she's this big!

My annual "All Things Halloween" event is going on. This is my month-long event where I feature reviews from Halloween-y genres (fantasy, paranormal, supernatural, sci-fi, horror, mystery, thriller, and suspense). Over the last few years I've had mostly fantasy books as I just haven't been in the mood for much horror, but still...these are books that can get you in the mood for Halloween.
