Great list, you've included some brilliant books.
ReplyDeleteTolkien made my list, too. I've heard great things about Grave Mercy and Under the Never Sky. Great list!

Great list! I've only read a couple of these. John Green made my list and quite a few others, too. I loved when they went to Amsterdam to find that author. It was quirky and different than the typical contemp novel.

My top ten! :)
Nice list! You've reminded me that I MUST get around to reading A Grave Mercy... can't believe I've let it go this long!
ReplyDeleteThanks Becki!
ReplyDeleteOh yes both of those are among my favorite reads from this year! Definitely! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteWe sure do! I love it! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteYes, that trip to Amsterdam in The Fault in Our Stars is one of my favorite "trips" that I've read about! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteOh yes...Grave Mercy is a must read IMO! Thanks for commenting!
ReplyDeleteOh my God - Graceling!!! This novel just...speechless. I loved it so much! Although I have to agree with what you wrote - other than Graceling and The Hunger Games (well and obviously the Tolkien) I haven't even heard of these others. Definitely going to look them up!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think of adding the Hunger Games! Good choice!
ReplyDeleteI almost put Fault in Our Stars and The Hunger Games on my list.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely reading Code Name Verity this summer.
Love Carrie Ryan. I so have to read that book. Thanks for stopping by my TTT :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved the whole series. Fire was actually my favorite! You should definitely check out some of the others listed if you enjoyed the Graceling series! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks Breanna!
ReplyDeleteOh you really should. It was so much better than I expected it to be! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteUm yes, the whole The Forest of Hands and Teeth series is really good. The Dead-Tossed Waves was just my favorite of all of them. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHaha...that happened to me while I was visiting other blogs too. "Why didn't I remember that book?" Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteA few of the books on your list are sitting patiently on my bookshelf waiting to be devoured shortly. The Hunger Games, Graceling and Daughter of Smoke and Bone are superb choices, love them all! Thanks for stopping by =)
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend all of the ones listed, but as there are WAY more books in the world than I could ever find time to read, I'm sure you'll get to them when you can. :) Thanks for your comment!
ReplyDeleteLOTR - Yes!!! Several of the others are on my TBR list or TBR shelves -- Graceling, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Scarlet, Grave Mercy, Code Name Verity. Maybe The Fault in Our Stars, too.
ReplyDeleteThe only one of these I've read is The Lord of the Rings which I totally didn't think of when making my list, even though it's perfect. I have a couple of others on my two read list.
