The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
This was a good week. Not too much to report. I FINALLY got all of my Christmas decorations packed away! I'm so excited to have my house back. I finished a great book yesterday. But you're going to have to wait to find out which one it was. And I had another week where I didn't receive any books. While I love receiving books, I'm thankful not to add to my growing pile of TBR in my possession.

As much as I love christmas it is a nice feeling when the house is back to normal :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!!!

Because reading is better than real life
I am always happy to put the Christmas stuff away, too. Usually I wait until New Year's Day, but this year, I put everything away the weekend before. And then thoroughly enjoyed my movie marathon on New Year's!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week....and I like the lighter mailbox weeks, too. I received two books and bought some...here's
MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
I'll be putting away my Christmas decorations today. This is the longest they've ever been up, but I had house guests from Christmas Eve until yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading! My Sunday post: http://www.bookclublibrarian.com/2014/01/sundays-weekly-book-recap-49.html
I finally packed up my Santa's yesterday. But the tree HAD to go down like the day after Christmas. Lulah wouldn't stay out of it and it was more irritating than anything else.
ReplyDeleteI didn't tech get any new books this week either - the ones I posted about were ones I got the week before that (when I didn't participate in SP). Until I finish this Allegiant book I'm trying not to even look at what's out there. MUST FINISH BOOK!!!
My sister packed up the christmas tree last week too, the house always feels a bit empty after the tree is gone (even though we did had a small fake tree).
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling, receiving books is great, but sometimes it's also nice to not receive any books in a week. My to-read list is so long already, I did got 5 books this week, all of those where either for review or won in a giveaway.
I know what you mean about getting books. My pile could really use a break. :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love receiving books too if they are gifts from friends but I dont request ARCs because they have "expiry dates" :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
My Sunday Post
I think as long as Christmas decorations are packed away before Easter, you're doing good :) I hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI somehow managed to forget about the decorations on the house outside. My husband asked if I was just going to leave them up till next Christmas. He's a smarty pants. lol Enjoy your week, and happy reading.
ReplyDeleteWe got all our decorations put away too.. then realized that we forgot the lights on the house! YAY! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, lady!
Oh yes! I was a little sad to put the decorations up, but once I was finished I realized how much more relaxed I felt having gotten it taken care of. Thanks so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteYes, I usually have mine up by New Year's Day, but this year it just kept getting pushed back! I'm glad you got your's done early and had time for a movie marathon. That's always fun! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
ReplyDeleteYes, I imagine Lulah was having a ball with your tree. :) But yes, you definitely need to finish Allegiant, if you can get caught up with Downton Abbey! :) LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did either. It was a breath of fresh air! Thanks so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteYes, it does feel a bit empty with the tree gone. But truthfully, empty is kind of what I need right now! Wow...5 is a pretty good haul. Really I consider more than I can get read in one week a big haul! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteUgh I knew. I know that I'll never bring my TBR list to 0, but I at least want to feel like it's possible to read all of the ones I currently own. :) Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHaha...yes, those expiration dates can be stressful. But if you can work it out, then great. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thanks Vilia! That makes me feel better! :) I hope you have a great week too!
ReplyDeleteOh no! That's the worst--having all your decorations packed and realizing there's more to do. Luckily I didn't get much of the outside decorations out this year, so there wasn't much of that for me to pack away. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!
ReplyDeleteThat's the pits! But at least you made progress, right? :) Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a fun week ahead of you! I can't wait to see if you enjoyed The Distance Between Us as much as I did. ^.^ Have a great Sunday!
