Sunday Post - 122 & Stacking the Shelves - 85

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Busy busy week! Husband's dealing with a sinus infection! Bless him! I'm planning to host another Pinterest Party in December, and so I've been busy planning crafts and recipes to try for the party. Tuesday was my niece's birthday. She's 11 this year! And then Friday was my nephew's birthday. This year, he turned 12! They're growing up so quickly. Friday night the family went out to eat to celebrate both of their birthdays. Husband and I ran around to Hobby Lobby, Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart to pick up items I needed to do a test run on my Pinterest crafts. I'm so excited to see how they turn out.

Goodreads description--Kira, Samm, and Marcus fight to prevent a final war between Partials and humans in the gripping final installment in the Partials Sequence, a series that combines the thrilling action of The Hunger Games with the provocative themes of Blade Runner and The Stand.

There is no avoiding it—the war to decide the fate of both humans and Partials is at hand. Both sides hold in their possession a weapon that could destroy the other, and Kira Walker has precious little time to prevent that from happening. She has one chance to save both species and the world with them, but it will only come at great personal cost.

  10. We've only had about 3 parties in the past. Everyone makes a recipe that they've pinned and haven't tried before. And then the person hosting picks a craft they've found on Pinterest (usually holiday related). Everyone that comes to the party pitches in money and the host buys all the supplies. And then we eat and do the craft the host picked out. It's really been a lot of fun. And it's been interesting to see which recipes are duds and which ones are really good.

Thanks! He's feeling some better, but honestly not 100% yet. I still haven't started Ruins. I meant to, but I ended up reading some other books while on vacation instead of Ruins. Oh well! I'll get around to it soon! Thanks for stopping by Lola!

  14. That sounds like a lot of fun! I can imagine it would be a lot of fun to find out which recipes are a hit and which a miss.

I am surprised I never heard of it before, but then again most people I know on Pinterest aren't people I know in real life and vise versa.

  15. It has been really fun in the past. Pinterest is a huge hit here and almost everyone I know is on it, but you could always provide people with the recipes yourself and let them choose which ones they might want to try.
