Sunday Post - 86

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

This was another fast and busy week. Not much happened, but I'm thankful for that. Most of our TV shows are back on after the Olympics, and so adjusting my reading schedule to allow for TV watching has been an adjustment. This weekend was relaxing and I loved it! Unbelievably, I didn't get any new books this week, but hey what better way to get caught up on my TBR pile than to focus on reading them and not acquiring any new ones? Although, it wasn't really a conscious decision. I'll take it either way.

THIS PAST WEEK:

Monday: Review of The Ever After of Ella and Micha (The Secret, # 4) by Jessica Sorensen (3.5 Stars)
Tuesday: 2014 Series Enders Reading Challenge - February Wrap Up
Wednesday: Waiting on Take Me On (Pushing the Limits, # 4) by Katie McGarry
Thursday: Review of Saving Quinton (Nova, # 2) by Jessica Sorensen (4.5 Stars)
Friday: Upon Further Review: Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, # 6) by Richelle Mead (5 Stars)
Saturday:February 2014 EOM Wrap Up & March Take Control of Your TBR Pile Reading Challenge Goals

UPCOMING THIS WEEK:

Monday: Review of Lila and Ethan: Always and Forever (The Secret, # 4.5) by Jessica Sorensen
Tuesday: Top Ten Popular Authors I've Never Read
Wednesday: Waiting on Wednesday
Thursday: Review of Blindness by Ginger Scott
Friday: Review of Takedown Twenty (Stephanie Plum, # 20) by Janet Evanovich - Also my 3rd Blogoversary. I may or may not be doing a giveaway.

Don't forget to sign up for the 2014 Series Enders Reading Challenge! Each month there will be a giveaway for those participating with a BIG giveaway at the end of the year! Click on the picture below or the link above to find out more!

Take Control of Your TBR Pile 2014

I'm also participating in Kimba's March 2014 Take Control of Your TBR Pile Challenge. I'll probably update my goals each week here like I did last year, and then do a final wrap up post with my March EOM Wrap Up.

That's it for my shelves and recaps of my past and upcoming week. What did you add to your shelves this week? Any bookish news you want to talk about? Let me know!

I was so tired last night that I couldn't even finish the latest episode of Reign. And that's saying something because I really enjoy it. So no reading for me at bedtime either. Good luck on the March challenge!

  2. This week was also a busy week for me, I hope the next one is better. Sometimes it's really nice to not receive any new books in a week! I thought I wouldn't have any books this week, but then on saturday I received 3 books and still had to add a book haul to my sunday post.

  4. Looking forward to reading your "Top Ten Popular Authors I've Never
Read" post. I'm sure it will be fun! Maybe because I don't read a lot of
popular authors myself...not a snobby thing, but I find myself not
interested in many popular series...with some huge exceptions (like the
    Jenna Fox trilogy).

Thanks for following me! I reciprocated via GFC.

  22. I think it can be really refreshing NOT to get any books, and the nicer it is getting even more the following week :)

Have a great week and Happy Reading!

  23. Oh yes. I've been trying to get my TBR in my possession under control. So while I haven't purposefully done a book receiving ban or anything like that, I have been more picky with choosing which books I request for review. And I just haven't bought any. I've finally gotten my TBR in my possession back in the 80s this week. So...that is a bit of a relief. I was pushing 100 there for a bit. Thanks for stopping by! And sorry I'm so late getting back to you.
