The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
This week was pretty uneventful. My sister's birthday was on Tuesday. She had a doctor's appointment and they decided to schedule her to be induced on the 21st if baby doesn't come sooner on her own. I'm so excited to meet my niece. In Baby Girl news, she started saying "mama" this week. You guys...my heart is so full. I am so blessed. I know that the "da" sound is easier for babies and most say that first which is totally fine, but the first time I heard her say mama and knew she was talking to me I just can't even describe how it felt. When she's crying or wants something in particular it sounds like she says "mum...meee." So unbelievably cute. And in book news, I'm still suffering from a book hangover after reading The Captive Heart by Michelle Griep. Tomorrow is Labor Day for the US, and I will be enjoying the time with Husband and his family, but I'll also be working on fixing my blog layout as I made some changes and it threw some features off. Now I've got to delve into fixing those. UGH!

Goodreads description--An epic and gripping tale of catastrophe and survival, The Passage is the story of Amy—abandoned by her mother at the age of six, pursued and then imprisoned by the shadowy figures behind a government experiment of apocalyptic proportions. But Special Agent Brad Wolgast, the lawman sent to track her down, is disarmed by the curiously quiet girl and risks everything to save her. As the experiment goes nightmarishly wrong, Wolgast secures her escape—but he can’t stop society’s collapse. And as Amy walks alone, across miles and decades, into a future dark with violence and despair, she is filled with the mysterious and terrifying knowledge that only she has the power to save the ruined world.
