Goodreads description--The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as “wildly entertaining.”How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.
Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.
Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.
What are you waiting on this week? Let me know!
I still have The 5th Wave sat on my TBR pile, I really can't wait to read it! At least I have until September to catch up for book Two! Great pick :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't like The 5th Wave as much as everyone else did (I didn't dislike it, I just didn't rave about it). I'm not sure I'll ever actually get to this one. But I'm glad I now know it's coming out!

ReplyDeleteOh yay! I love when I find another fan! And how did I not know they were making this into a movie? Do you just not like the actress playing Cassie? I didn't see anyone else cast (looking on imbd) yet. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
ReplyDeleteThe Wrap and MTV released news stories last week that Chloe Grace Moretz will star in the film adaptation of The 5th Wave... http://www.thewrap.com/chloe-moretz-star-fifth-wave-sony-rick-yancey-gk-films
ReplyDeleteI just feel like there's tunnel vision when it comes to casting young actresses even if I love them it becomes oversaturated.
I've never heard of this actress before. But I can see where you're coming from. Maybe it'll turn out okay. Thanks for commenting--sorry I'm so late responding!
