Sunday Post - 238 & Stacking the Shelves - 180

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

This week feels like it was busy but without much to show for it. The AC/Heating guy and the electrician came on Monday to do our bi-annual checkups. This is a service that can really catch some major problems before they occur, but man it can be a pain in the bum trying to organize it and have them come. Wednesdays are usually a bit hectic because of church. Thursday was grocery day, but that day was just off for me. I was in a mood most of the day. I did manage to finish another book for the March Take Control of Your TBR Pile Challenge. That makes three books in two weeks. I'm happy with that, especially considering this book was about 700 pages. Saturday my friend Paula, Holly, and my niece finally went to see Before I Fall. Over the last two weeks it seems like several review books that I requested weeks ago were approved all at once. I'm happy that they were approved, but it always kind of stresses me out when they're all approved in a chunk at one time like this.

THIS PAST WEEK:

Monday: Review of Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, # 4) by Sarah J Maas (5 Stars)
Tuesday: Happy 6th Blogiversary Giveaway ($10 Ebook of your choice - Ends Tuesday)
Wednesday: Waiting on Lord of Shadows (The Dark Artifices, # 2) by Cassandra Clare

UPCOMING THIS WEEK:

Monday: Review of Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, # 5) by Sarah J Maas
Tuesday: ??? Not sure yet
Wednesday: Waiting on Wednesday

Goodreads description--When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot, bearded, bartender extraordinaire, Joe Collins, only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.

Alex Parks is funny, friendly, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman. And in no time at all they're emailing up a storm, telling each other their deepest darkest secrets... apart from the one that really matters.

And when it comes to love, serving it straight up works better than with a twist.

That's it for my shelves and recaps of my past and upcoming week. What did you add to your shelves this week? Any bookish news you want to talk about? Let me know!

  1. I always get AC and heat checked for the seasons. It does catch problems before they get too costly. Looks like some great new reads. And I broke down and requested some Netgalley books recently. They all got approved too. Yikes! LOL

  3. HAHA! Doesn't it always seem to happen that way. You'll request several--more than you normally would since you haven't been approved or denied yet--and then they all get approved at one time. Thanks for stopping by Laura!
