Early Tuesday morning, Little Boy woke up and threw up about 3 times. Thankfully, he doesn't go to school on Tuesdays. The big kids and I had a shorter school day as usual on Tuesday. Tuesday night both older kids had ball games. I took Big Boy to his game, and my dad came to that one. Wednesday, I went ahead and kept Little Boy home from school. He was coughing pretty bad that day. All of us felt a little off. The big kids had a slight cough too. On Thursday, we had a "field day" with our homeschool co-op which really just means we went to a park and let the kids play and had a picnic. We grabbed some Italian Ice on the way home from that. Thursday night both big kids had ball games again. This time I went with Big Girl. It was also my dad's birthday. Friday, we finally had a normal school day. It was a challenging day behavior wise for one of our kiddos, but none of them were that great when we went out to eat with my parents for my dad's birthday. Saturday, we went to a local pumpkin patch. We got there shortly after they opened. The weather was so nice. And we had a good lunch. Then we had a big surprise. We told the kids we had an errand to run, but we really had to pick up our new puppy. He's a 12 week old cavachon (50/50 mix Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise). He came with the name Scout, and even though we've debated changing it, it looks like his name might stick. He is a family dog, but he's also an early birthday present for our oldest. She's been asking for a dog for about a year. He's a sweet boy and we're in love already.
