Sunday Post - 244 & Stacking the Shelves - 184

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

This has been an exciting week! Wednesday we went to the doctor for our 12 week check up with BABY # 2! I used my Waiting on Wednesday post for this week to announce the pregnancy here on the blog. Not much else can trump that news. Little Girl spent the weekend with my parents. Husband and I are going on a small trip in June and I wanted to make sure she'd do fine spending more than one night away from home first. While she was visiting her grandparents Husband and I got a lot of outside work done around the house.

Goodreads description--Secrets.
Everyone has one.
Some are bigger than others.
And when secrets are revealed,
Some will heal you ...
And some will end you.

Kate Sedgwick’s life has been anything but typical. She’s endured hardship and tragedy, but throughout it all she remains happy and optimistic (there’s a reason her best friend Gus calls her Bright Side). Kate is strong-willed, funny, smart, and musically gifted. She’s also never believed in love. So when Kate leaves San Diego to attend college in the small town of Grant, Minnesota, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with Keller Banks.

They both feel it.
But they each have a reason to fight it.
They each have a secret.

And when secrets are revealed,
Some will heal you …
And some will end you.

That's it for my shelves and recaps of my past and upcoming week. What did you add to your shelves this week? Any bookish news you want to talk about? Let me know!

  1. YAY! Congrats on your new baby! Do you think it will be a girl or a boy?

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!

  2. Congratulations on the pregnancy. When my children were young I think I had more of a problem leaving them at my parents then they did, they loved going to grandparents house. It's good for you and your husband to get away.

I pretty sure I have The Bright Side sitting on my Kindle, and I'm not sure why I haven't read it yet. Maybe I'll pick it up soon. Have a great week and enjoy your read.

  3. Congrats on the pregnancy. I think I had a harder time being away from the kids than the kids did. Good luck!

  4. I loved your Waiting on post this week! We've had some excitement with pregnancy in my family this past week. My brother and sister-in-law finally got pregnant again, and this time it wasn't with IVF, so it is very encouraging. Hope you have a great week!

    Check out my Sunday Post

  5. Glad to hear all is good. Enjoy your trip.

  6. Congratulations on your exciting news! Hope there is lots of reading time in the near future.

  7. Thank you so much Jovita. I know exactly what you mean. Little Girl is all about going to her grandparents' houses, but I always miss her when she's gone. But you're right, it is important for Husband and I to have some time to ourselves...especially with the new baby coming.

I finished Bright Side quickly. The language was a bit much for me, but I cried MULTIPLE times. I'll post my review of it in a few weeks. Hope you get a chance to read it! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  8. Thanks so much Shandy Jo! I can agree with you about that. She loves visiting her grandparents, and it's good for us too. But we always miss her when she's away. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  9. Aw thank you Lisa! That's so great about your brother and sister-in-law. It always blows my mind when couples have such a hard time getting pregnant the first time and then it happens naturally and/or quickly the second time. Congrats to your family as well! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  10. Thanks so much Nise! Time to read hasn't been the problem so much as the energy. :) Hopefully I'll rebound soon. Thanks for commenting!
