My parents kept the kids last Sunday night and Monday night. Sunday night, Husband and I went to dinner for a date night, and then we went for a walk when we got home. We also got caught up on Cobra Kai...at least the part that's available now. Monday during the day, I want to a local flea market that has a used books booth and picked up some used books for my kids for the upcoming school year. Then I took a load of donations to drop off and grabbed Chickfila for lunch. We had a nice lunch and I worked on homeschool prep. Tuesday, I had a more laidback morning. I did a few homeschool prep projects and general cleaning and laundry. I also cleaned and organized my middle child's room. He does a pretty good job keeping things off the floor, but he doesn't do well with organizing. I'm trying to find a system that will work for both of us. I went to get the kids from my parents and then got groceries. Wednesady was a chill day. The kids were home and playing well together for the most part. Wednesday night I went to dinner with my friend who was visiting from Texas. We ate at Olive Garden and then ran to Walmart together. We'd normally go to my parent's on Thursday, but since the kids had just spent the night we decided to hang out at the house. Friday, we went to Grammy's after Little Boy's naps. Husband's sister and family had come to visit. We ate dinner there and the kids decided to go for a night swim. Big Boy got stung by a wasp. Saturday, the kids went back to Grammy's house to hang out with their cousins, and Husband and I went to his friend's house that had to evict some renters to help clean up. The renters trashed the place. I mean it's probably not the worst house the world has ever seen, but it was most certainly, unequivically the worst state of a house that I'd ever seen. I have no clue how people can live like that. I couldn't even describe the nastiness and filth. Anyway, school starts back here this week, so it'll be a busy week for us coming up.
