Sunday Post & Stacking the Shelves - 03/08/20

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Oh my goodness you guys! It rained and it rained and it rained. I mean for four days straight it rained. And I'm not talking just a little. It poured. Dr. Seuss week at school so Little Girl got to do all of the fun dress up things. Thursday we had enough and my mom went with us to an indoor playground. The kids really needed to run and play off some energy. It was a really good day. Both were very well behaved. We grabbed some food and went to my mom's after to hang out until we needed to head home for Little Boy's nap. Friday it was glorious. The sun was shining. The temperature was decent. We went for a walk and played outside even though we have huge patches of standing water all over our yard. But you know, there's always someone out there that has it worse. Other towns have worse flooding. Tennessee was hit by a tornado. We have our home, we have our family. We are blessed. Speaking of blessed, I have made it another year of blogging. I can't believe that yesterday marked 9 years of blogging. I'll have to think of some really fun stuff to mark next year's anniversary, but for this year, I've got my annual giveback giveaway for you guys. It's still open. Goodreads description--The Hating Game meets Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by way of Morgan Matson in this unforgettable romantic comedy about two rival overachievers whose relationship completely transforms over the course of twenty-four hours.

Today, she hates him.

It’s the last day of senior year. Rowan Roth and Neil McNair have been bitter rivals for all of high school, clashing on test scores, student council elections, and even gym class pull-up contests. While Rowan, who secretly wants to write romance novels, is anxious about the future, she’d love to beat her infuriating nemesis one last time.

Tonight, she puts up with him.

When Neil is named valedictorian, Rowan has only one chance at victory: Howl, a senior class game that takes them all over Seattle, a farewell tour of the city she loves. But after learning a group of seniors is out to get them, she and Neil reluctantly decide to team up until they’re the last players left—and then they’ll destroy each other.

As Rowan spends more time with Neil, she realizes he’s much more than the awkward linguistics nerd she’s sparred with for the past four years. And, perhaps, this boy she claims to despise might actually be the boy of her dreams.

Tomorrow…maybe she’s already fallen for him.

That's it for my shelves and recaps of my past and upcoming week. What did you add to your shelves this week? Any bookish news you want to talk about? Let me know!
