Sunday Post - 58 & Stacking the Shelves - 31

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

This has been one crazy week. Friday, Husband and I got home from grocery shopping after work to find that our fridge was broken. It was literally like 5:20 and every kind of repair place closes at 5:00. UGH! Luckily, my sister was moving to an apartment about ten minutes away and let us stash our food in her fridge/freezer. What a life food saver! Then we spent Saturday getting my sister and nephew moved into the new apartment. My FitBit says I did 32 flights of stairs. Busy busy!

Goodreads description--It's been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.

Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future-and each other.

Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

That's it for my shelves and recaps of my past and upcoming week. What did you add to your shelves this week? Any bookish news you want to talk about? Let me know!

  12. Last year our fridge in the basement broke, and since I only go down there once a week to haul stuff up to the kitchen fridge..i didn't discover it until we lost a lot of meat. Eew! Not 2 weeks later our fridge in the kitchen went and couldn't be fixed...nightmare I tell you..just a nightmare. Hope yours is working again, I am loving your haul and hope your week is simply amazing!

Wow! You got your exercise! It was nice of you to help. Oh, I didn't know another book was scheduled for the Lunar Chronicles. I still need to read Scarlet, but I really liked Cinder and have Scarlet to read on my Kindle. Have a good reading week!

  17. That's quite some hustle and bustle you got there. Fridge breaking down is always a pain in the ass, glad you had your sis to help you out there. Looking forward to see what you thought of Delirium:)
    Have a great week!

  18. Oh yes, you need to get on that asap! Scarlet was even better than Cinder IMO. Thanks so much for the follow!

  19. Both of her books that I've read have been really good. I can understand why she gets the press that she does. Thanks for stopping by!

  24. Oh geez. What a disaster! We've got a repair man coming tomorrow. Took forever to get something scheduled since it went out on the weekend. Luckily I think we've saved most of the food since my sister has let us use her fridge and freezer. Thanks for stopping by!

  25. It was good! Finished it Saturday or Sunday. Can't remember. Thanks for stopping by!

  26. Nope. No fun at all! It should be all fixed come tomorrow though.

I definitely enjoyed Where She Went. I always think it's funny when I got a book midweek and post it on my Sunday Post, but I've finished it before it even gets to Sunday. :) Thanks for stopping by!

  27. Yes, my sister saved the day. Where She Went was definitely a good sequel to If I Stay. I liked book 1 better, but book 2 was really good too.

  28. Tell me about it! :) My legs are still feeling it today.

Yep. It won't release until February 2014, but it's definitely coming. Scarlet was even better than Cinder IMO. Hope you enjoy it when you get around to it!

  29. Oh yes. There was nothing convenient about being without our fridge/freezer for 3 days. Nope. Not cool at all! Definitely thankful to have my sister close by to save the day though.

Review of Delirium is up if you'd like to check it out! I REALLY enjoyed that book. Thanks for stopping by!
