Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read in 2013

Top 10 Tuesday is a post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and this week's topic is Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read in 2013.

You guys, I read SO MANY good books this year. And many of those books were by authors I haven't read before. It's no secret that I have a hard time keeping to ten choices on these posts, but this one might have been excessive. I just couldn't stop! I wanted to give credit to all of the new (to me) authors that have blown me away this year!

    1) Rainbow Rowell (Eleanor & Park)
    2) RL LaFevers (Grave Mercy)
    3) Anne Eliot (Almost)
    4) Jay Crownover (Rule, Jet, & Rome)
    5) Brent Crawford (Carter Finally Gets It)
    6) JA Redmerski (The Edge of Never, The Edge of Always)
    7) KA Tucker (Ten Tiny Breaths, One Tiny Lie)
    8) John & Stasi Eldredge (Captivating)
    9) Kasie West (The Distance Between Us)
    10) Gayle Forman (If I Stay, Where She Went)
    11) Lauren Oliver (Delirium, Pandemonium)
    12) Michelle Hodkin (The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer)
    13) Courtney Summers (This is Not a Test)
    14) Leigh Bardugo (Shadow & Bone, Siege & Storm)
    15) Rick Yancey (The 5th Wave)
    16) Veronica Rossi (Under the Never Sky, Through the Ever Night, & Into the Still Blue)
    17) Marissa Meyer (Cinder, Scarlet)
    18) John Green (The Fault in Our Stars)

What authors have blown you away this year? Let me know!

  1. Nice list! I haven't read any of these authors, but many of them are authors that I want to read, like Rainbow Rowell, JA Redmerski, Michelle Hodkin, and John Green. Hopefully I'll get to them in 2014.

  2. Great list!! Anne Eliot is one of my favorites!! Rainbow Rowell made my list too!

  3. Wow, great list!! I sadly didn't read that many books by authors that were new to me so far this year :(. But the ones I did read I loved. I really wanted to read Ten Tiny Breaths this year, but I don't think I will be able to :(.

  4. You have so many authors I want to try next year. My sister read Delirium and loved it.

  5. Wow, you went a little over the top there! I've read about the half of them (Rowell, Green, Rossi, Yancey, Bardugo, Oliver, West). You are right, they are great!

  6. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I definitely highly encourage these authors. I loved them all--obviously!

  7. I'm definitely going to have to check out other books by both of these. Do you have any Anne Eliot recommendations for me?

  8. Hey, that happens. At least you read ones that you loved. You can't read ALL THE BOOKS right? :) Thanks for stopping by!

  9. Oh yes, I loved Delirium. I read book 2, Pandemonium and it was good too, but I'm nervous to see where the series is going. I've seen such mixed reviews over the last book. Thanks for stopping by!

  10. Haha...yeah, I know! I'm surprised I stopped myself before I got to 20, but these were some seriously good books and good writing! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Great picks! I really, really need to read some Rainbow Rowell in 2014, have heard nothing but amazing things about her books. My TTT.

  12. That is what the series enders challenge is for.

  13. I've only read 1 by her, but it's enough to put her on my auto list! :) Thanks for stopping by!
