Sunday Post - 112

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Amazingly enough, I didn't get any new books this week. But truthfully, I needed a week like this to catch up on review books. The week itself went by fairly fast and had some ups and downs. But I'm thankful for an extra long weekend. Happy Labor Day to my US friends.

That's it for my shelves and recaps of my past and upcoming week. What did you add to your shelves this week? Any bookish news you want to talk about? Let me know!

  1. I tried to resist reading Ten tiny breaths, but I feel like it's going to be hard to keep holding back ! Have a great week ;)

Yay for a week with no books! Seriously, those usually feel like BIG accomplishments to me because they are so rare! And I would've been right there with you this week had you not sent me that freebie that I just had to have! (grabby fingers) ;)

  3. Those weeks without getting any new books always feel nice knowing you don't add to your growing TBR pile, but on the other hand I love getting books, so I don't have much of those weeks. Enjoy your long weekend :)

  4. My past few book weeks have also been quiet, and like you, I've welcomed the chance to catch my breath.

    My Sunday/Monday post:

  5. Yay for a quiet book week. My mountain of books seems to never end. Enjoy your holiday weekend. :)

Jenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post

  6. It's nice having a quiet week to relax and get caught up on things. I got to have a quiet week to work on writing reviews of books I read the previous week. Nice blog.

    My Sunday Post:

  7. Quiet book free weeks are a good thing. *eyes tbr pile* Have a wonderful weekend Sandy!

  8. It's so nice to have time to catch up. Hope you get plenty of reading in and have a great holiday.

  9. I still have to read Shatter... will have to squeeze it in soon! Have a great week!

Thanx for visiting My Weekly Wrap-Up!
    Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace

  10. I'm right there with you, I feel like i'm never going to catch up on my tbr books! It just keeps getting bigger and bigger! I haven't seen If I Stay yet…I think I might wait until on demand, I don't really want to walk out of a public place in hysteric tears. lol
Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet:)

    Happy Reading!

  11. Oh yeah, I highly recommend the whole series! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  12. Definitely. Sometimes you just need a week (or three) to recover! Thanks for stopping by as always Lola!

  13. Sometimes you just need a couple of weeks to have a breather and get back on track! Thanks for stopping by and commenting Catherine!

  14. Oh yes, I've never gotten the TBR list to zero. So that's just never going to happen. But I do like to feel like I COULD if I wanted to. Thanks for stopping by Jenea!

  15. Thanks Angela! I'm glad you had a quiet week a while back to get caught up on reviews. If I don't write them as soon as possible then they just don't get written. Thanks for stopping by!

  16. Haha...yep. They're needed periodically to get back on track. Thanks for stopping by and commenting Kimba!

  17. It definitely is. I don't know that I've read anymore than normal lately, but it's been nice to see the number go down rather than go up. Thanks for stopping by Christy!

  18. I really enjoyed it, but I still like Believe better out of the series. Hope you enjoy it though! Thanks for stopping by Naomi!

  19. It definitely seems to only grow. Especially if I don't have weeks without getting new books. I hope you get to see If I Stay sometime soon. I really enjoyed it. I teared up, but I didn't ugly cry like I did with The Fault in Our Stars. The whole theater was ugly crying though so at least I wasn't alone. :) Thanks for stopping by and commenting Kal-El!
