Sunday Post - 113

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~ It's a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Not much to report about this week. I was so thankful to have the earlier part of the week off work. I read several books over the long weekend. Another week where I didn't get any new books. Oh and how about this, I've got jury duty this week.

  2. That's great you didn't got any new books for two weeks in a row! And that long weekend sounds awesome. I didn't have much time to read this week and hope to get some more reading done this week.

  4. Do you know, I've never had jury duty? The one time I was called, I was still breastfeeding, so they let me out of it. I'm looking forward to your TTT this week! I had fun doing mine.

2 whole weeks without new books! That's great! I couldn't pass up the 99 cent deal on Throne of Glass. It's been on my TBR list for a long time so I figured I'd go ahead and get it. And of course you can borrow it. Enjoy your adventure that is jury duty!!

  6. I've never had Jury Duty. I got summoned once but was let out because it had gone to an old address. My husband had it when we were dating and said he got a lot of reading done. Hopefully it'll be the same for you you! Have a great week!

  8. Is it bad that I'm super jealous of your jury duty?? I've never gotten it (I registered to vote as soon as I could in the hopes that I'd get it, I'm that sad), and I'm just dying to get that little card in the mail!! I've probably watched too much Law & Order and completely built it up in my head, but I want to see what it's like! On the bright side, you don't have to go to work? :)

A no book week is really a good thing! I'd love one of those, but I have no self control. :)

I hope you have a great week Sandy!!

  14. Isn't it funny how random it is. I had to go Monday, but they didn't pick me for a case. I was thankful for that. Thanks for stopping by and commenting Lark!

  16. I did get to finish a book Monday thanks to jury duty. I went, but they didn't pick me for any case. But that was fine by me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting Katherine!

  17. It was definitely an interesting process. I was thankful that I didn't get picked because the case didn't seem to be very cut and dry based off the small bit of information they gave us up front. And it was a capital murder case, so yeah...that's pretty heavy stuff. Thanks for stopping by and commenting Christy!

  20. They explained to us Monday that they don't really use the voter registration as the bases for jury duty anymore. But it was interesting to see the whole process. I didn't get picked for a case, but I'm glad because it was a capital murder case that didn't seem to be cut and dry on what details they gave us up front. But I'm sure you'll get called at some point in your life. I did get an extra day off work and was able to read a good bit on Monday. As for my haul (or lack thereof), I'm coming up on three weeks with no new books. I've kind of put myself on a ban unless it's one that I'm DYING for. Thanks for stopping by Rachel!

  21. I had Jury duty once when I was younger it was a one day trial. I found it to be interesting though I know most hate doing it. Good luck with that. :)
